| Last Friday Alix Stevenson and I were invited by Cat Barlow and Rick Taylor to see them ringing a nest of Barn Owls at Broomholmshiels. This was the second clutch of the season as its been a high Vole year so there is plenty of food available to feed the young. This is the 3 of them being very well behaved and giving us no problems as we held them. They really are the most beautiful birds. |

| They were so well behaved and just lay back and watched us. It was such a wonderful experience and hopefully i will get another chance to see some more of them soon as there is at least another 3 clutches to be rung in the next couple of weeks. There have been over 40 young Barn Owls reared in the area this season. |
